About this movie

Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George W. Bush is one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory. In an unprecedented undertaking, acclaimed director Oliver Stone brings the life of our 43rd President to the big screen as only he can. W takes viewers through Bush's eventful life -- his struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and of course the critical days leading up to Bush's decision to invade Iraq. 2008 Prescott Productions, LLC. Stone clearly doesn't like this guy. Showing him talking with his mouth full of food when courting his wife, focusing on the negative of his youth, amplifying the mistakes of his presidency even painting up his immediate family as having no faith in him. It is pretty blatant and to anyone with a critical and analytical disposition - they need to call Stone on this. I went away from this one thinking that I would like to have a more balanced version of events as opposed to the viewpoint on offer here. It isn't worth 4 stars becuase of this skew but Josh Brolin acts very well. The two hours went by quickly because of the solid acting from all the cast.
