About this movie

From acclaimed director Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Prometheus) comes the epic adventure EXODUS, the story of one man’s daring courage to take on the might of an empire. Using state of the art visual effects and 3D immersion, Scott brings new life to the story of the defiant leader Moses (Christian Bale) as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharoah Ramses (Joel Edgerton), setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.

Sorry I've researched history and archaeology, the time of Moses was around 1,250BC. This is 1000 years and more before the Greek, Roman and Arabic invasions of Egypt. Egypt at that time still largely consisted of A-GROUP people's (first people, native) descended from the people of Naqada, Nubia basically... Black people. The first dynastic King or Pharaoh of Egypt was Narmer who was the first to unify Egypt, around 3,200BC. He was from Naqada, Upper Nile, near Sudan today, a black African region, Narmer was a black African King. The Narmer Palette is one piece of evidence, pre-dynastic burial grounds of Kings in the Upper Nile is more, as well as black African mummification burials in the Sahara, 500 years before King Narmer and more than 1,000 years before the first known Egyptian mummifications. The Saharan tribes were the forefathers of the Egyptians, back when the Sahara was NOT a great desert. THEY WERE BLACK PEOPLE. Please don't watch this film, the US has a black president yet Hollywood, the weather vane of Western culture, still can't bring itself to be more real about African history... Ancient Egypians were not white Americans..! It is simply a ridiculous falsehood.

This is a very good film. It took a while to get into it but it was well worth it. If it was directed by the same person as the person who did Gladiator, I think that says it all. Don't know what all the hypocrits are on about below. If films were 100% realistic then they would be boring. The racist word is the most over used boring word of today. Everything is racist now according to dark skinned people and these white do gooder hypocrits. Just watch the movie. Its good. Ps I won't read future comments :).

It's a bit of a let down. The special effects are good and the cast is stromng but it's just too patchy in the plot and does not WOW like other epics. Stick to the Charlton Heston version. It's not as slick but by far the better firlm. And more entertaining.
