Monsters: Dark Continent

Watched this before watching the original. I thought the performances and special effects were great. It has some things to say about War. There were two scenes with water. The first was a home birth in the bath tub and the second was after surviving a harrowing escape through the desert where Frater and Parkes are "rebirthed" and then spend some time with a "berber?" family experiencing them as a people. I liked it...

Good movie and yes it is a drama and not an action movie. It is different from the first. Still expressing the futility of conflict very well. If you send a people to war it is bound to make them into monsters.

Monsters have been done before but this one was still a pretty cool story regardless.
