About this movie
Four life-long friends are about to have a day they will never forget. Not only are they embarking on an epic night out to say goodbye to their friend Billy before he joins the Army, but their favorite band, The Smiths, has just broken up. As they go from one wild adventure to the next, they listen along as an impassioned Smiths fan takes a local radio DJ hostage, forcing him to play only songs from the dearly departed band. Featuring an incredible soundtrack – including 20 songs from The Smiths – Shoplifters of the World is a glorious ode to the craziness of the ‘80s.

Not as cringe as I thought it was going to be at all. Some of the references seemed forced and cheesy, but it was pretty well done. As a metalhead, I wish the radio man would have referenced more extreme bands like Celtic Frost and Possessed instead of corny stuff like Kiss. As a Smiths fan though, the soundtrack was great. Wish they would have thrown in the song "Ask", however, as that is my all-time favorite Smiths song. I enjoyed spending 90 minutes of my life watching it, however I don't know if I will necessarily watch it again. Like I said though, it was way better than I expected.
