The Chronicles of Riddick (Theatrical)

The follow up to Pitch Black takes a different approach for a sequel. Instead of a monster flick, it becomes an epic LOTR style adventure about a man with a destiny. The mythology built in this film has potential to create a vast universe comparable the the star wars extended universe. Hokey at times but a fun film with untapped potential.

Similar yet different to the recent movie that came out called"Riddick". However this is the original of the bunch. Spoiler: an eclipse darkens the planet they have crashed on, causing the monsters to come out… while in "Riddick" a monsterous storms brews up causing the monsters to come out. Different but semi-similar. Just know that (in order) it was first Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick, then Riddick. Pitch Black and Riddick are similar. Watch and see for yourself, but both all are truly amazing!

An amazing movie with a great story and cast. Easily if my top 10. If you get a chance make sure to watch the unrated director's cut for a even more enjoyable experience.
