About this movie

The clues are in, the chase is on, and the case of the century is about to break wide open in Disney's greatest little mystery in history! Let THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE take you on an adventuresome journey through the cobblestone streets of 1897 London, where some suspicious "mousechief" is the suspenseful start to this thrilling musical adventure. Olivia, the brave daughter of a beloved London toymaker, turns to Basil of Baker Street for help with her father's disappearance. Basil's jolly assistant, Dr. Dawson, and loyal dog Toby lend a hand ... and nose ... as they sniff out clues through their charming miniature world. The final chase leads to Professor Ratigan (Vincent Price), a hard-hearted criminal whom Basil must outwit to save all of Mousedom!

this is a GREAT movie. One star is because it was listed as eligible for family library. I sprung for the HD version and went to it's page and it said ineligible. I either want it in my family library or I want a refund. I will be contacting the merchant.

I have always loved this movie. Can you get a more fantastic villain than Vincent Price? I think he must have been in his eighties when he did this film. But his voice and sense of humor was stronger than ever. Whoever thought he could *sing* but sing he does and Wonderfully so. Just watch once and you will have a new classic for your film library.

This movie was very well done. Despite that it's a cartoon I see that it's a rather intriguing movie. I feel that if you haven't seen this movie, you should definitely think about buying it.
