Lots of patriotism and guns. The Vietnam war was not in any way, like this picture depicts. It was worse. But John Wayne makes good showing the military in a good light. I like this period picture for a look at the uniforms and equipment. The plot is a bit much and acting is weak, but I still highly recommend this movie.

Love this movie. I don't know how real war is, but this movie makes me want to care, to remember, to respect these amazing soldiers and all their experience.

One of the best John Wayne movies from the golden age of movie making. A real classic about the Vietnam War and the role of the US Army green berets in the conflict. Very tame by today's standards, but good plot and lots of action. Great weekend movie.
