The movie took on the topic which few writers and producers care to do and they did a pretty darn good job. The Blonde that Helen became friends was one of those. I swear I am know. I believe it's the woman that okays Frankie Drake

This was one of the most realistic movies I've scene about major depression and the utter despair it causes the person living with it and the loved ones that surround them. I especially could relate to the parts in which Ashley Judd says "I can feel it, its there" as the depression sets in and then at the end "one step between me and madness" or something to that effect. For those who criticize this movie for its lack of Hollywood entertainment flare I do hope for your sake and your families that you never experience the "Big D". I often recommend this movie to those who suffer from this disease. When I've asked, "Can you related personally to this movie?" the consistent response is "yep" or "I've so been there." Outstanding performance by Ashley Judd especially since she knows a certain reality of this illness. I'll never forget this movie.

Dark, depressing and slow. The blonde actress was charming.
