Filled with violence (though never gratuitous, IMHO) and more than just a hint of racism it's enjoyable nevertheless. More than a decade ago the first four Dirty Harry flicks were bundled (physical discs DVDS, not downloads) for less than $20.00 and I copped them at the time. This is the best of the series: not only is the story and acting excellent but it's recorded and filmed at a level that surprised me. Worth watching more than once.

I can't believe I just watched that for the first time, what a dark movie. They actually showed the naked body of a young woman pulled out of the ground in one of the scenes. The villain is played very well and wow, what a movie. I can see why it isn't ever played by TBS or whatever, it's too Hannibal Lecter. If you like Clint Eastwood, watch this movie.

Great Film love Clint Eastwood's character such a badass, the end (no spoilers) was one of the most satisfying endings to a movie I've ever seen. 5 stars definitely recommend if you're into action and thriller films.
