About this movie

Opioid painkillers are the leading cause of accidental death in the United States. After losing his older brother to prescription pills, filmmaker Chris Bell (PRESCRIPTION THUGS) - himself a 6-year opiate addict - wanted to find solutions. His research led him to Kratom, a plant from Southeast Asia that when consumed kills pain like opioids, but it doesn't carry with it many of the deadly side effects, withdrawal symptoms, or addiction problems that come with opioids. It’s even helped to wean addicts off of pharmaceutical opioids. In A LEAF OF FAITH, Chris seeks natural ways to kill the pain but not the patient.

I’ve been taking Kratom for 4 years every morning in my coffee. I use it for arthritis and back pain. The only side effect I’ve had is constipation but that’s only if I’m not eating the right foods. I recommend Kratom to my children who are adults, my parents, friends and family. You have to try it if you’re in pain.

I was on opiates 8 years Kratom saved my life! I can take it not take it. The red headed lady I can't remember her name the lies that she's telling the lies the government is telling because they make billions of dollars off of pain pills my mother is also on pain medication and swears she's not addicted to it, it makes me so sad. That's the number one source of contention between the two of us because I stopped and I have not had any of the surgeries that I need to have she's had both hips done for back surgeries and should be in much better condition and still takes pain pills and the whole reason for the surgery was to get off the pain pills, but she's not addicted! I'm more addicted to coffee that's my only addiction at this point and my vape LOL thank you so much for this documentary it needs to be seen everywhere over over and over and over again until the government gets it!

Another documentary showing alternatives to pharmacological entrapment, and the typical barriers we encounter when we try to secure an alternative. Big Corporations hate loss of profitability, and will invest a great deal to secure their continued revenue. Governing agencies need to ignore this, and start making better decisions for their Citizens
