Best version out there. You get to see the actress go from a humble lady to a very charming elegant one. I felt at first hesitant to watch this after the failed attempts (2007 and 2022). Well worth watching and getting the satisfying end Anne and Frederick needed. Hope you feel the great joy of yes that's a Jane Austin end like I did! Back in the day this was said to be like is pride and prejudice from 1995. They where right! Let Mr. Hinds sweep you away as Captain Wentworth!!

I enjoyed this but I did find that if you're not already familiar with the story, you miss out on a lot of the subtext and even larger points in the plot. If you're not at least a little familiar with the book it's going to feel slow and confusing.

I love this adaptation of the book, my favorite Jane Austen novel. Really good casting and the movie was just as moving as the book.
