Good, but not perfect. Lots of plot holes. Like when Mark was complacent about the airlock structural vulnerabilities, he could of covered it with rocks and dirt - but didn't. When the potatoe garden got depressurized, he complained the bacterium were all killed, despite there being more poop packets in the lavatory bin. And for running out of ketchup? What about the bottles of high calorie mayonnaise he could of used? Or barbecue sauce...

After reading the book, I was really looking fwd to this movie. There was so much ingenuity and lighthearted self conversation (self log). However, the movie left me wanting so much more! The change in the ending did nothing enhance the lack of struggle Mark overcame. I would have loved to see more about the rover reconfigure and how he got all the necessary life support on board the awe / boredom of the trip etc... overall... cool, but lacking.

I bought the un-extended edition which now i deeply regret. Make no mistake, the movie and the special effects were good. But, given mutt demon's politics that he just can't help keeping to himself and needs to shove it everyone's throats, I am not wasting a single cent on this.
