I got spooked a few times, nothing special though. There was too many POV'S, and the spooky parts were predictable, the number one thing that a horror movie should watch out for. Honestly, I just got bored, The Japanese are amazing at horror films also this one just isn't it. Every time it would finally get scary the pov switched, and It kept doing that. I think this just misses what I think makes a good horror movie.

Ju-on has some creepy scenes but ultimately this movie is very boring. The POV switches make it hard to really invest into one storyline and therefore hard to feel frightened at any point. That and the lack of any special effects makes the ghosts look too close to regular people which does not really hit home in terms of scares. Very dedicated horror enthusiasts will enjoy this but regular viewers will not find anything entertaining here.

I like the premise but the make up effects on the ghosts are too minimal. They just don't evoke any fear upon appearance.
