I wasn't sure what to expect because of the mixed reviews. I thought I'd find something that wasn't that good, but I would love anyway because of the nature of horror built into it. But no, this was actually a really fantastic film. I was really content with the nature of the supernatural involved in the film, as well as the characters throughout this journey. They didn't die so much because of their poor I suspect the low ratings are from people who were looking to see a movie just be scared and that wouldn't make them think. The movie ended and left me waiting to the end of the credits hoping for more. There wasn't any. But I have to hope that they continue with their work. It was beautifully made, and you can see the love that was put into every shot of the film. I suppose part of the reason why it hasn't done so well is that a lot of people really hate first person footage for some reason. I'm personally a big fan. If you don't mind the perspective, then give this film a watch., I'll also note that the advertising methods they are using are not ones that I think adequately portray the film. Which may be another reason for their poor reviews.

I really wanted to like this movie...the trailers and concept looked fantastic. The film starts out great, and about midway begins to fall apart. Underwritten and under directed, the plot-twist ends up completely unclear and leaves too much head-scratching when trying to pull it together. The film's explanation of this reveal is weak, and will leave you wishing a little more attention was put into the script. Some great effects and ideas, mixed with some great scares just can't save this mess of a film.

I really liked this movie. The acting from the lead was believable; it was by no means incredible, but adequate to not break my immersion. The French actors, as well as George, carried the film in my opinion. The concept was fascinating, the execution rather well done, and for a horror movie, it is easily 5/5. Given the level of detail in the mysticism (especially if you pay attention to many of the walls and symbols that aren't specifically pointed out), and the level of accuracy of it, I think this movie is highly underrated. You probably won't be terrified by this film, but if pay enough attention, you'll probably be unsettled.
