An absolutely vibrant piece that sparkles and shines like an old car that's been renewed. It has sharp direction and the black and white cinematography brings out every bit of gusto from the early talkie era. Jean Dejardin is delightful and Berenice Bejo as charming as any starlet of the time. A must see, and deserving winner of Best Picture.

This is quite possibly the best movie I've ever watched. It is simply amazing from start to finish. The acting mirrors what you would've seen in the early years of film and the plot is, for lack of a better word, astounding. I was glued from the second it started. Simply put, this movie defies words. Its beautifully done. Bravo!!
