About this movie

Go back to the beginning....in this chilling prequel that takes place before the unforgettable haunting of the Lambert family. When paranormal investigators Tucker and Specs team up with the psychic Elise to help a teenage girl contact her late mother, Elise is forced to venture back into The Further where she finds a ruthless supernatural entity craving the souls of the living. It's the darkest chapter yet in this spine-tingling portrayal of evil unleashed.

Out of all Insidious movies the first was the best, the second would be next; leaving this one last. What made insidious such a great addition to the horror industry was the new "demon" realm, where the dead people and demons resided. This movie did a terrible job living up to the expectations of that realm. No "scary" monsters, creatures, or scary people in general was displayed in the "demon realm". Seriously, the antagonist is just some old man with a breathing mask on his face -_-. Also the movie is corny as hell. Its several times where the old woman, who can speak to the dead, literally pushes the demon with her bare hands and "defeats him" several of times even though this guy has the ability to kill her without even moving a limb on his body. The old lady apparently learns how "truly' strong she is, which was just another way for the Insidious producers to say, our budget is low. Seriously though, what makes this movie is that dark world that you enter through dream state and it just was not emphasized much; all you see there is the old man with a breathing mask on. The beginning, however, is not terrible actually. It has its moments.

My curiosity of opening up to more horror movies has spread and now I'm watching more horror movies than ever. If you didn't see the first Insidious, you'll want to see this. You'll be jumping on almost every scene (I did). But I wouldn't be alone in the theater watching this. Take hint in seeing this at theaters before it goes.
