This sequel does for brazen drama what the first one did for inspiring charm. There are moments with thrilling close up camera shots and fast-forward moving characters that will charge at you in the face, delivering shocking 3D bits. The camera also uses great movement to tell the story with shots involving the foreground and the background and has large scale scope to give the film an "epic" feel. There are also some funny moments too, one moment with screenplay and tone, three moments of witty lines or clever jokes, and Monty is even funnier and more theatrical than the first film. Michael J Fox (who voiced Stuart) shows that he has many emotions that he has in movies like "back to the future," and in this case, Stuart in this sequel is an underdog hero and Michael does have a side for fun dramatic effect. Melanie Griffith voices Margalo, a Canary bird who becomes Stuart's closest friend, Melanie's voice performance gives Margalo a personality that is grief-stricken and sad, but she also has an upbeat side and another side that is no-nonsense too. James Woods voices the peregrine falcon. The falcon in this film is even more menacing and and much more memorable than Smokey from the first film. James has a dark threatening voice that superbly reflects this tyrannically evil character. The relationship between Stuart and Margalo is handled very well, they have such pleasant chemistry. They love each other and they care for each other very much. Heck, they even have some character faults (everyone has a bad side including you and me), and let's not forget that Stuart has more personality: Charm, Cheerfulness, and Daring Confidence. All of these elements with these cute characters showed us that Stuart and Margalo has got some character development and these two characters are well-rounded in a simplistic way. Eleanor Little played by Geena Davis is decidedly a brainless and paranoid mother, trying to make her new baby talk an say any word, even difficult words that babies are too young to say, she also thinks that falcons are not allowed in cities. That is the main flaw I had with this film. The songs in this soundtrack are uplifting and were a good choice for some of the elements in the film. The music score in this film is once again composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri, and his score here is bigger and better than the first film. Because, first of all, his music did match and reflect the elements like he did in the first, but this time, his score here has more variety: his score can also be more emotional. There are some music cues that are very sad for the emotional tender bits, there are also some triumphant bits that are delightful and bright, there are some music cues that sound threatening and even spooky (usually involves with the falcon, and the Pishkin building that he lives in), and of course, for the action sequences, the music is very dramatic, thrilling, and heroic. The film also has positive messages about, bravery, friendship, and always finding the bright side. This sequel is very well on par with the first one. Highly Recommended.

Un film que j’apprécie énormément, mais déçu qu’il soit pas en version Française. J’ai donc demandé un remboursement en attente de la version Française.
