I liked the plot of the movie, however there were too many things that were just terrible about the movie that you cannot ignore... Hence, the single star. First and foremost- the acting! I'm sorry but Abigail what's-her-name is truly awful. I've watched her in Scream Queens and thought the same thing. However, I thought that perhaps she was doing it to be "funny", since it's a comedy and all. But after watching this movie I'm convinced that she's just a really crappy actress. She was really cute in Signs and Little Miss Sunshine and with all those years of acting under her belt you'd think that she'd gotten better. Sadly this doesn't apply to her. Some scenes were just painful to watch. Of course she wasn't the only one to ruin scenes (and the entire movie) with horrible acting skills. The kid who plays Danny is just as bad, if not worse than Abigail... He overacts his scenes, trying to emulate Jack Nicholson in "The Shining" and sometimes reminds you of Jim Carey as the Riddler with the creepy, wide smiles. I can go on with the horrific acting job of most of the cast members but I think my point has been made. Another thing i didn't like about this movie was the lack of history. The story could have been better told of they dove into the history of the boys, what makes them tick, how it got started, more flashbacks or back story of the girls they killed and the reasoning behind their choices of these girls. All they say is that they choose blonde girls and that they've killed 20. They don't bother telling you anything else. Also, with the lack of character development, they totally failed to deliver on their "deepest fears" after being drugged. I get that they don't have much time but you have one being circled by masked men then starts making out with his own mother. Seriously?? The trailer tells you more than the movie about the boys. While there's SO much more I can talk about makes this movie a failure in my opinion, I'll leave it at this before i end up writing a twenty page essay. I think that I'll stay away from any movie or show that Abigail Breslin is in anymore as she's just too awful to watch. You'd think that someone who's been acting pretty consistently since before they were even potty trained would at least be bearable, but she's proven that wrong. I think she was definitely the main reason why this movie was a flop.

Bad dialogue; non-existent story; poor acting; more than considerable lack of character development; ridiculous sets; unbelievable, poorly-choreographed fight scenes; overall boring movie. Renting or owning would not only be a waste of money, but also time that you'll never get back. There's more entertainment to be had from hitting yourself in the head repeatedly with a full can of pinto beans. The only reason for the second star is Abigail Breslin is a pretty girl to look at, but looks only go so far.

This movie is one I would call a fall asleep to film. Not because its bad, but because its interesting enough to put a person in a sleepy state in bed. It has an interesting plot, but it is a bit thin in the substance department. But its straight forwardness and obvious story flow are both a strength and weakness in my mind. The Heroine being recruited and so on and so forth being trained then having to prove that shes capable to be able to work in the field. A bit easy to predict out, but it gets to the point. She has a job and to do it she must do A, B, and C... A few tweaks and this could have been better, but again just a movie to watch when you want something on to fall asleep to. So for me... three out of five.
