About this movie

Hitchcock creates a masterful psychological thriller about a compulsive liar and thief (Tippi Hedren), who winds up marrying the very man (Sean Connery) she attempts to rob. When a terrible accident pushes her over the edge, her husband struggles to help her face her demons as the plot races to an inescapable conclusion.

But there are jewels in this flawed classic. Uneasy in a leading role, Tippi Hedren's career ending performance is nonetheless her finest. She's helped considerably by Sean Connery, Herrmann's wildly over the top score. After continuous set conflict, Hitch walked away from the film in spirit. The film has its apologist, but a film requiring such means it's more midnight movie fare.

One day I came across this movie and I thought it was amazing!! The mystery and suspense is incredible! It's personally one of my favorite Hitchcock movies! Some people love Marnie and some people hate Marnie. But I love it!

Some elements of the plot are implausible but (Ms.) Jay Allen Presson's dialogue and the acting are wonderful. Could Sean Connery be any sexier?
