Its a sad shame, they will never make another, but we should be thankful for even getting this. this will not win awards or be a Hollywood favorite among the actors, but it stands alone as one of the BEST game to movie experiences. If you going into this without ever having played the games, then be prepared for judging a book by its cover. But... for anyone who has played the game, be prepared to sit back and smile. NEED FOR SPEED games never had a perfect story, or crazy action fights, because it was built around the racing and excitement. This movie does a VERY good job of keeping the respect NEED FOR SPEED has earned. The sound track also does a near perfect eclipse of the game as well. (right song/tune - right moment, real motor sounds without adding 20 fake shifts) This movie failed in the rich Hollywood eyes, but after watching it many, many times, its clear why... its not meant for them, but for the car guys/gals , gamers and street racers alike. remember this is not a fst and furris (misspelled) movie for the masses, but a 2 hour long game moment, that truly stands alone for succeeding at its task. PS: i hope someday, fans get tougher and make a part 2 with a go-fund-me... i will gladly put in money, as long as the original creators are on-board, (video angles and shots are done very well) to the ACTORS and producers- your movie is a rare gem that sticks to its goals, while being something truly different., enjoy it for its 1-of-a-kind-ness, and how it stands stall with the NEED FOR SPEED NAME.

This is probably the only movie that can contend with the F&F series (which is now complete trash). Unlike F&F, the stunts were real and it focused more on the actual racing and not how many times we need to see the driver manually shift the car. The car selection is not bad, but could have been more professional. For example, the Bugatti Veyron SS was not needed. It was just eye candy for the general public to see in the trailers and be encouraged to buy the movie. The movie also heavily endorses Ford, which is easily detectable from the auto show scene and because the main car that is driven is a high performance Mustang. A lot of kit cars were used, which is fine by me since a lot of high end expensive cars are wrecked. It would be a tragedy to the car world if they actually used the real cars and not kit cars. The plot dulls out a few times, mostly half way through the movie and at the beginning (before the street race). This relates to the actual NFS game series only a little bit. A few extra small street races would have been nice. Not the best car movie in the world, but it's better than F&F

I really don't understand why people are giving this movie such a bad review. Let me put it to you this way since people expect movies to be pretty quick and action packed nowadays. This movie was made for the people who grew up playing this franchise and enjoy a some intense loud racing with cars that are not heavily modified to fit the kids of today's times. Split this movie up into two parts; the plot, which I will include the characters in and the action sequences. Plot wise, the movie is decent, it is in fact kinda slow, with many of the characters being cheesy at some points within the movie. You cannot compare this plot to the FF franchise because it is made to be much simpler... to make a bigger emphasis on this. The racing is NFS's finest and most unique aspect. Unlike FF, which is mainly people shifting relentlessly over and over and over again, NFS is exactly what racing fans want. Real stunts, real cars, and the racing to be seen, not zooming in and out of the cock pits every 5 mins. Watch this movie if you want an amazing movie about cars, with actual cars that do the actual stunts. It is as amazing as Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift (best one of the series)
