Dragon Blade

The film is great. If I could, I would give it million stars. The plot, inspired by historical events is well written with twists and carries poignant message. Outstanding cinematography, mesmerising music score, suspenseful, skilfully choreographed battle scenes. Shot on location (the desert is real, not CGI) and the cast is excellent. Jackie Chan's powerful performance showcases his wide range of acting abilities. At the beginning he entertains us with martial arts and comedy but as the story unfolds, his role becomes dramatic and Jackie makes the transition with subtlety. Once again he proves that he is not just an action star, but also a very fine, accomplished drama actor. John Cusack rates high and Adrian Brody impresses with his portrayal of Tibeirus, a sadistic and corrupt Roman Emperor. I envy my American friends for the priviledge they have to simply pop up to the nearest cinema and experience Jackie Chan's magic! Go and see it. A chance in a life time!

A total mess in storytelling. Whoever edited this film did a horrible job. Broken story line everywhere. Oh, the girl who showed her backside...for no reason at all... Honestly, I did not expect this to be a waste of time. It turned out to be a movie that you can literally predict what happens next every turn. I sat through this movie with my eyes fighting to shut.

I loved this film, Jackie really showed his acting chops, for those who say this is a horrible movie, reevaluate your life, most of you guys never gave it a chance, most of you don't know what a good movie is, even if it was right in front of you, most you probably think this film sucks because it's not a typical Jackie film. John Cusack did exceptionally well, and so did Adrien, the story was displayed well, so was the action, adding in history into the mix, by putting it in a period discord. 👍
