About this movie

Neil Simon's magic touch shimmers at its very best in this story about a Broadway actress, Georgia Hines (Marsha Mason), who six years earlier gave up custody of her daughter, Polly (Kristy McNichol), in order to "straighten out her life' But now, just as Georgia is about to star in a play based on her own turbulent romantic past, Polly decides she's going to move in with her mother. There are good times, pretending to be sisters to confuse a pair of college boys, and there are tough times, when they confront one another with the truth about the lost years between them. Through it all, with humor and warmth, they come to know one another again. MPAA Rating: R ©1981 Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

All you hear is how good she looks for losing 35 lbs. over and over just shows how shallow that time was. I use to like this movie but people change over time. I use to not like Sinatra films but now love Some came running.

A must see movie! The Actors who starred in this movie are/were amazingly talented. Unfortunately, most of those Stars who played the main characters are not with us any longer.

Excellent cast. Marsha Mason, once again, delivers a convincing character in this film. And James Coco is brilliant. They don`t make them like this anymore.
