About this movie

Kay (Meryl Streep) and Arnold (Tommy Lee Jones) are a devoted couple, but decades of marriage have left Kay wanting to spice things up and reconnect with her husband. When she hears of a renowned couple's specialist (Steve Carell) in the small town of Great Hope Springs, she attempts to persuade her skeptical husband, a steadfast man of routine, to get on a plane for a week of marriage therapy. Just convincing the stubborn Arnold to go on the retreat is hard enough -- the real challenge for both of them comes as they try to re-ignite the spark that caused them to fall for each other in the first place. 2012 GHS Productions, LLC. This is more for couples that are feeling something missing in their life and/or marriage. If you've been together awhile and your kids are grown and on their own and your retired and both at home and don't know what to do and feel the flame has been sizzling out, Then this is for you and your partner to watch!!!

After 31 years of marriage couples do go through what Arnold and Kay went through, and the important thing is the love they have towards each other is so strong that it is worth fighting for. Again, AWESOME movie. Its a first to see 2 actors like Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep do this type of real life issues and they did a great job. Also, Steve Carell did an excellent role as a counselor who which normally does comedy roles.

What happens to love after 50...boredom and complacency. Then you have the typical solutions and the inevitable outcome. See only if you love Streep and Jones.
