Gloria (1999)

Fresh off a three-year prison term (she took a fall for her mobster boyfriend), Gloria (Sharon Stone) immediately violates parole and returns to New York City and a bleak future. Desperate and angry, she lashes out, putting to good use the tough education she earned growing up in Hell's Kitchen. In the process, she accidentally becomes guardian of a stubborn 6-year-old boy, Nicky (Jean-Luke Figueroa), whose family has been wiped out by her criminal consorts. He possesses devastating information that could destroy an underworld empire, and as Gloria's life spins out of control, she realizes that both she and the boy are marked for murder by the mob.
