About this movie

How far would you go to protect your family? Oscar® nominee Hugh Jackman stars as a man facing every parent's worst nightmare. His six-year-old daughter is missing, together with her young friend -- and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had earlier been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, the detective in charge (Jake Gyllenhaal) arrests its driver (Paul Dano), but a lack of evidence forces his release. As the police pursue multiple leads and pressure mounts, knowing his child's life is at stake, the frantic father decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. But just how far will he go to protect his family? Led by Jackman and Gyllenhaal, this dramatic thriller features an all-star cast, including Maria Bello as Keller's distraught wife; Oscar® nominees Terrence Howard and Viola Davis as the other parents, whose daughter also went missing; in addition to Academy Award® winner Melissa Leo.

Very powerful, emotional, and at times disturbing movie. The character development was very well executed and all the characters deliver incredible performances. Hugh and Jake are becoming 2 of Hollywood's most brilliant actors. The ending I thought was well done and really was the icing on the cake. Their are several different themes and a lot going on in this movie. Sit back and relax and make sure you can dedicate time to enjoy this master piece. .

This movie is amazing. I've watched it twice and could watch it again. The acting is superb and that can be said for all of the actors. The storyline is very well thought out and puzzling but after analyzing it enough you see that everything has a purpose. After watching the movie the second time around, I found myself Googling for symbolism and other questioning themes. The cinematography phenomenal at worst. Overall absolutely worth watching and undeniably my favorite movie.

Not going to give any spoilers but from the beginning it catches your attention until the very end one you put the pieces all together. Disturbing, as a parent, a father, I can only imagine what people go through in order to get their child back, I myself wonder if I'm capable of doing some of those things... I am
