I'm a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks and I realize all movies differ from the books but this one bugged me quite a bit. I loved the book and they changed so many things I don't see how they can say it was based on the book. *Spoiler* They even changed having 2 daughters to having a boy and a girl. Really? Not happy with the adaptation at all. If you just want a sweet movie, this is good but if you expect to see this in hopes of bringing the book to life don't bother.

I read the book and loved it, couldn't wait for the movie. I was severely disappointed. Acting was terrible. It seemed to drag on forever, I begged my husband to turn it off but he wanted to see it through. It couldn't keep my attention and I was miserable. It could have been a great movie if it had better actors, better director, better ...everything. Two thumbs way down.

I see Nicholas Sparks is at it again. "Alright guys, I've got an idea... this good looking, bad apple meets an equally good looking, good girl and they change each other's lives until some sort of tragedy strikes and they either do or don't fuck one last time before the end of the movie."
