Hard to watch, really. Essentially a horror story. No matter if you think Treadwell's determination to peacefully coexist amongst wild Grizzlies was foolhardy. No one deserves to die like that. Herzog's documentary is disturbing to say the least.

I was required to watch this movie for a college social work course. After watching this film, I had to do a social work assessment on the protagonist in the movie (Timothy Treadwell). My professor wanted students to determine a diagnosis according to the DSM IV-R and our own insight. I believe he suffered from Schizoaffective Disorder based on his erratic behaviors, communication with other humans and the bears. I loved this movie. It was emotionally riveting and a psychological thriller!

Great insight into the innocent but naive life of Tim and his trusting yet ultimately unlucky girlfriend, Amy.
