One of the worst movies I've ever seen. For a three-hour movie, there's a hell of a lot of filler scenes. 90% of it was just useless suspense and action that made 0% sense in relation to the story. And don't get me started on Matthew Mcdonald-hey's accent... He'd be all southerny then he'd be all Batman and then southern again? Whatever. The plot makes no sense either! This brat child named Smurf thinks there's a ghost in her room that's actually some weird "gravitational anomaly" and it's always knocking books off of her shelf. Then there's a sandstorm that makes Matthew McConaughey stumble upon some weird NASA place where they recruit him to go on a space mission to "save the world" and even though he's a civilian that was caught trespassing they let him go on this mission nearly immediately with no training or briefing? And it's all a sham for some reason? Idk but I think if you're going to space then you need much longer than 2 days to prepare! Sorry this is so disorganized and makes no sense, but this movie is so all over the place that I can't even put into words how confusing it was to watch.

It was one of, if not the worst, movie I've ever seen. I consider myself a Sci-Fi conasure but this was too confusing to even remember...a definite disappointment. I can't believe it got so many rave reviews. I think some politics are behind that.

A pretentious crock. As if a frozen star could be traversed through an "event horizon". More likely you would zip into a simultaneous layer and be fried by an inversed energy residing there. Saved by a 5th dimensional box where everything occurs at the same time? Okay.... The only thing resembling reality is the time dilation. But we have a picture of a black hole. Yep. Not that O with a line across it.
