About this movie

Nick Bannister (Hugh Jackman), a private investigator of the mind, navigates the darkly alluring world of the past by helping his clients access lost memories. Living on the fringes of the sunken Miami coast, his life is forever changed when he takes on a new client, Mae (Rebecca Ferguson). A simple matter of lost and found becomes a dangerous obsession. As Bannister fights to find the truth about Mae's disappearance, he uncovers a violent conspiracy, and must ultimately answer the question: how far would you go to hold on to the ones you love?

6/10. This has two sides to it. One the bright side, the world building was fantastic! It reminded me of blade runner with the whole place ( bot counting the fact this world is filled with water ). And Hugh Jackman gave a solid performance. But it falls due to the slow tempo this film gives. It lasts for what seems a long time when its not. And nothing big really happens in this film until the last 20-30 minutes. Overall this film had a great idea but fell flat at executing it.

This film wastes it's premise... a lot. It tries to visually impress but the visuals are a bit dull and just is not good like the Blade Runner films, movies like this. It is not very exciting either. Certain scenes were better then others and the abandoned amusement park and the Ferris wheel was cool which I am guessing were visuals or maybe already at the filming location. All together 2 and a half out of 5.

I wasn't really a big fan of it, the trailer looked nice, one of the people who created Westworld worked on it, but I didn't feel any suspense, part of the movie tends to drag for a good half hour or so, suddenly action happens, then it's not so much, it still just shows that Hugh Jackman can't leave Wolverine behind, though an amazing performance, wasn't my type.
