This is just trash I mean the storyline is lazy, they don't focus on the main idea, and its not even scary. It is more funny then scary the jokes even suck and where is Jack black and slappy sounds like a rock scraping off the pavement. I could name so many things wrong with this movie and the worst part is after they do the beginning part of the movie they forget about the main script and made a new one 🤨🤢😡🤬😠😤🤮😱

Scary, Fun, funny, & Captivating, Goosebumps 2 is a great way to celebrate the spirit of halloween for the whole family (appropriate for kids age 8 & up only). Ari Sandel directed this movie & this movie is very-well directed. Ari can show you what the nature/mood of halloween is (in a family friendly way). The story is interesting & great. The acting & dialogue is great and makes you care about the main characters (even though they found a book & junk which is a giant mistake. Cliche if you think about but it's about fixing your mistakes & get out of trouble). The special effects & visual effects are top-notch. Slappy the dummie Steals this show! His voice, laugh, and scheme is devilish, cruel, & malicious. (A great halloween antagonist)! Here comes the FLAWS: there are some plot holes like there is a guy who did some bad acting in panic, & jack black said somthing about the "IT" red balloon which is questionable.

The writing was lazy, and the movie dragged it on. The beginning had anticipation, which was a nice foundation, but there was no pay off for it later on. Jack Black was there for a tiny bit of the movie before it was over, which made no sense at all. The only reason he was in it at all, it seemed, was to put him on the cast list to get more people to watch this excuse for entertainment.
