*spoiler* After careful consideration of everything that was going on, Life's more difficult choices come to light. I myself would of had an easier time of getting comfortable in the new situation. Her selfishness when finding out she was woke up is typical of the average rich human. The colony mission, round trip, was still going to be 1 way for her. On 1 end, the beginning, Cryo chambers, where they go in, do all the processes, then placed on board for the trip, unable to return to hyper-sleep. They wouldn't have a facility set up at the destination to place her back into hyper-sleep. 2 way price for a 1 way ticket. The greed of the corporation is already showing. I was hoping to see their children around the house they had made at the end. He my have saved her life for waking her up early, the glitches from early on, by the time the crew member awakes, could of been her pod to wake up with many glitches. And it doesn't say how many passengers and crew members didn't wake up at the end of the journey, due to the problems the ship had initially suffered from. It is possible, that before the full system reboot, half the life support cryo tubes could of been corrupted.

I thought Passengers was great. The science was great, there was some dramatic morality as well as some existential psychosis, which is more than most movies give you, and the effects were beautiful, and it had a sense of humor, and a love scene... The love scene even had added weight to it due to the previous moral and psychotic plot developments. I will admit that Act three turned to more traditional and lazy plot devices in comparison to the first two acts, but I don't know why anyone was expecting it to be some never-before-seen permanent masterpiece of cinema. If you love SciFi and existential doom I think you will enjoy this flick.

This movie started out strong. It was a great idea with amazing actors. About halfway trough the movie it felt like they changed writers or directors, and these complex characters they built were replaced with cardboard cut-outs. All their depth fell away and was just ignored. The end of their story felt like it was glossed over because we didn't have enough time. It was a tragedy to see them build these two amazingly real and complex characters just to watch them go flat before the end of the film.
