Season 1 was fine, but season 2 is a completely different show. And it really isn't very good. Shame on them for killing off the wife to make room for Leah Remini. It isn't working with the Monkey Fist Security story taking up most of the show. Mr. James used to be enough, but I am sorry to report that the rest of show is now awful. Original review: If you liked the King of Queens, then you are likely a Kevin James fan, and will enjoy this show as well. CBS offered Mr. James a truck load of money and built a studio near his mansion on long island just to get him back doing this sitcom. But the show has a few good laughs, especially with the oldest daughter and her fiancee, Chale. Note that the younger two children who appeared in the first few episodes have mysteriously disappeared in the later episodes. Well, anything is possible on TV. The laughs are generally predictable, and the show could benefit from some fresh new ideas, especially since there is only one child left in the family now.

season 1 was fine. But they should have just revived the king of queens&having leah Remini on there, with her publitcy stut just to get noticed. touring the talk show circuit, outting the cult she was in. Was the end of her 4ever4me.Shes not bright& I saw right threw her trickery. She was not trying to do good. She was desperate& used the cult as a platform. Maybe getting children out of there would have put her on the map again. But no,she was out 4#1.Kings was her only hit,it was a team effort.

I absolutely loved Kevin James in The King of Queens. A classic show that still makes me laugh to this day, regardless of how many times I watch it. It had depth and hilarity that most modern shows lack. That being said, Kevin Can Wait is a good show, I'm glad he came back to television. I can't say it's as funny, though. I loved his wife in the first season for sure, but I definitely think Season 2 is far better. I'm so glad Leah Remini came back to work with him as a main character on the show!
