About this show

The suave, confident and devastatingly handsome Sterling Archer may be the world's greatest spy, but he still has issues with his friends and colleagues who live to undermine and betray one another. Whether set in 1940s Los Angeles, the jungles of South America or the dangerous islands of the South Pacific, "Archer" is an animated comedy that spans time and place to navigate Sterling, Lana, Malory, Cheryl/Carol/Charlotte, Cyril, Pam, Ray and Krieger's misguided misadventures that range from attempting to save the world from nuclear disaster to selling illegal narcotics to Colombian cartels.

I bought the Seasons 1-8 set in August 2018. The first 6 seasons are ad-free and the last two seasons have literally 5 second teaser ads before each episode. Love the show and hate that it was taken off Netflix. To be honest - I don't even notice the ads b/c its still way nicer than having to record and fast forward from live TV and easier than messing with blu-ray discs. Don't worry about the ads - make the purchase.

I loved this show for years and would have kept watching the spy agency regardless of the agency name. Unfortunately, it just keeps going downhill. This latest season was a complete break from the rest with completely different stories, relationships, and characters. I hate the move from episodic, stand-alone episodes. The commercials also keep forcing me to rate it lower... I am done buying poor quality shows with commercials.

Before you Buy: FX Pre-Loads advertisements onto *Each* video despite your purchase. If that is a deal breaker, keep that in mind. I was unaware of this before my purchase and now regret it. I will never buy another FX series due to this. To Fox/FXX: I will being pirating any future FX releases that I could have purchased. Fan of Archer: Not the best season, but even this one is still really funny.
