The Autopsy of Jane Doe

SPOILERS - SPOILERS - SPOILERS - They used every cliche in the book on this one. Emile Hirsch looks through a small opening, and guess what...a scary face suddenly appears! He looks under a door...and a dead guy's foot appears! Brian Cox opens a shower curtain that moved...nobody there, but then something grabs him from behind! Lightning and thunder...and the radio station changes to a silly song and the power goes out! Hitachi looks into an air duct because he hears strange noises...something approaches his face super fast and then disappears! He then decides to take another look into air duct...he finds his mangled pet cat! They try to escape in an elevator...and it gets stuck! A naked dead body walks toward them as slow as a snail...and they're really scared of it! Cox feels an uncontrollable urge to axe said slow walking naked dead guy...it turns out to be Hirsch's girlfriend who he had told to come back later! After determining Jane Doe is responsible for all the shenanigans, they set her on fire...the whole room becomes ablaze but she doesn't burn! In the end...everyone ends up dead! This whole movie was designed to be scary based on all those tired and worn out cliches, with virtually no coherent plot. If they still scare you after hundreds of movies have used each one of them to death (pun intended), you'll jump and scream and think this is a great horror film. If you're looking for an intricate plot like, perhaps, The Exorcist, The Omen, The Silence of the Lambs, Let the Right One In, or even A Nightmare on Elm Street (even the worst is more inventive than "Autopsy"), you'll be sorely disappointed and bored to tears. The positive reviews are certainly not horror film connoisseurs.

The premise this movie goes on is a good one having the audience going on the same learning ride as the characters. Very interesting and not at all boring or does what a lot of movies do by side tracking on other unimportant plots. The ending kinda tells what may have happened to the beginning characters (dead bodies), But at the same time is the thing that ruins the whole movie. Thought this movie would have the closure that it was kinda even trying hard to convey. Which would of been the best choice. Unfortunately those who put that ending together is just another plain Hollywood decision and ending... (shaking head)...

Wasn't all that scary which can be a good thing. The whole autopsy telling of the story is something I really liked because it brings something and the way they did it was smart and not dumbing down the audience. The final two scenes when Jane Doe was wheeled away And in the ambulance completely destroyed the whole movie as a whole I thought. But it in my opinion gives characters you care about something that movies nowadays lack.
