Newly divorced and wondering what the world now has to offer her, Rafi (Uma Thurman), a Manhattan businesswoman, is surprised at how quickly love finds her in the form of Dave (Bryan Greenberg), her polar opposite, a young artist from Brooklyn. But Rafi's situation isn't as blissful as it seems when she finds out that her shrink (Meryl Streep) -- who knows all about Rafi's emotional hang-ups -- is also her lover's disapproving mother.
