About this movie

"Chernobyl Diaries" is an original story from Oren Peli, who first terrified audiences with his groundbreaking thriller, "Paranormal Activity." The film follows a group of six young vacationers who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an "extreme tour" guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone... this movie was garbage. Zero effort.. it's a perfect time to write a review-as the credits are just now rolling as I type. SPOILER ALERT. After all the ?Bubbly-Conehead-Radiation Freaks have killed the rest of the tour group..the final scene is the final survivor being locked in a room by the people (?doctors & scientists & military peeps?) and thinking she is at least safe, she is wrong!. Apparently, they are ?feeding her to the freaks for no explained or inferred reason?.. just confusing, and horrible, and frustrating that anyone gave this more than 1 star!.. I guess because they jumped a couple times.

This was a waste of an 1.5 hours of my life. Terrible acting, predictable, and the ending was the worst. I literary predicted at least 4 things in the movie that where going to happen that I got right. Just tells you ANYONE could of wrote this script. Its a shame considering it took place in one of most iconic places in history.

I liked it. Though, I'm going to try to not spoil anything here, but i have to ask, were those people that were hunting them? Wasn't the city evacuated? Were those all the tourists that didn't survive? Once they kill you, is it like a zombie apocalypse type deal where you like "come back to life" and become one of them? It left me with a lot of questions, but the thing i disliked about it was that some parts were predictable. For instance, i knew something bad was going to happen to that couple that night.
