About this movie

In the tradition of classic Agatha Christie novels, Miss Pinkerton is a delicious whodunit from the pre-code era. Nurse Adams (Blondell) is a private duty nurse sent to the Mitchell house to care for Julia Mitchell, who is in shock after discovering the body of her nephew Herbert Wynne. Adams' supervisor informs her that she will be working undercover for the police, as they suspect Wynne was murdered. Lead inspector Patten (George Brent) thinks Wynne was murdered by someone he knew, but when Patten finds out the victim took out a life insurance policy, he changes his mind and decides that Wynne committed suicide. But all is not what it seems. Nurse Adams sees a mysterious stranger creeping around, accusations fly and the body count mounts. Will Nurse Adams be able to help solve the case? Or will she be the next victim?
