Burton and Taylor

I never cared much for Elizabeth Taylor once she got past her Father of the Bride era. However, I adore Helena Bonham Carter and just had to see her take on this over-the-top film icon. I was not disappointed! Soon I had forgotten who was playing the part; even though Helena does not look just like Liz Taylor, she sounded and acted EXACTLY like her to the point that I truly forgot I was not watching Liz Taylor. And the script is fascinating, with lovely realistic lines that you just don't hear in movies as a rule. The actor playing Richard Burton was very good as well, and he added a wonderful touch of irony and gravitas to keep the tone right. I didn't expect to really like this movie but I loved it. I think it should have been in theatres and I would have handed it some well-deserved rewards had I been in charge of the BAFTAs or Emmys or whatever. Smart, sad, hysterically funny, wistful...Burton and Taylor really does have it all.

Doesn't look act or even sound like her total bomb dont waste your money
