About this movie

From the writer of Training Day comes a gripping, action-packed cop drama starring Academy Award-nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pe̱a. In their mission to abide by their oath to serve and protect, Officers Brian Taylor (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Michael Pe̱a) have formed a powerful brotherhood to ensure they both go home at the end of watch. But nothing can prepare them for the violent backlash that happens after they pull over the members of a notorious drug cartel for a routine traffic stop. Seen from the point of view of the officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, dash cams and citizens caught in the line of fire, a 360 perspective creates a gritty, compassionate and intense portrait of the city's darkest streets, and the brave men and women patrolling them.

I just couldn't find the story in any of this. And anyone from the streets knows criminals don't just green light cops unless they are hella dirty. That just doesn't happen. The ending was absolutely ridiculous. Training Day was a master piece, this, not so much.

Overall a good movie, but a bit forced into you. No real development of characters. Picture Training Day with POV camera action (which gets old after a while). Spoiler alert: ending is predictable and depressing.

I do not understand how they justify charging 14.99 for download, no special features included. I can buy the movie at the local store for 9.99 standard and 14.99 blue ray with special features and extras. Over priced.
