Caution: Spoiler alert. I'm reading some of these comments. Foolish dummies who missed a key point. The guy WAS NOT a terrorist. He was wrongly imprisoned. I think it was great that the story took this angle because it showed what can happen to someone when wrongly imprisoned. You see an educated man become almost maniacal by his imprisonment. Kristen Stewart has come a long way since her days on Twilight. I tip my hat to her and the actor who played Ali. What a duo.

We all have different views, minds, opinions. As a whole it was enjoyable to see the use of compassion from human being to human being. Regardless of a person's stance on the subject or consideration to my personal connection/deep respect for the military; it is my own opinion that this movie neither shames our armed forces or nor any religion. Its simply reminding us to look at each other as individual people. Again entirely my thought process, and I hope it is appreciated as I did everyone elses.

Some films are hard to make, some films are hard to watch & of these films there are films that are also important 2B seen. Not for political reasons or accurate depictions that challenge you but more so just concepts of humanity that challange you if for nothing more than to ask of yourself are you choosing to look at ones surroundings without filters and without blinders ONLY so you may allow oneself to think, grow, learn& feel. I suppose I'm saying allow the filmmakers to tell you their story and to listen
