About this show

In The Last Ship season five, the world is finally recovering from the deadly virus that decimated the population, but global political unrest still remains. Tom Chandler has retired and his former crew has scattered, many having risen ranks within the Navy. Sasha Cooper, Lieutenant Danny Green, SBS WO-N Wolf Taylor and Sergeant Azima Kandie are on a covert mission in Panama. When they are wrongly blamed for an attack on the Panamanian President, the consequences for the United States are dire. The Nathan James must fight to prevent invasion by Latin America and the next world war. Season five is The Last Ship at its most epic, upping the ante on action and excitement, but at its core, it is a meditation on the costs of prolonged war and the toll it takes on the heroes who fight it.

Needs a lot of improvement and technical advice (if there is any). Obvious to a blind man she lied to the captain from the start and for someone who "cares" about his crew didn't. Enemy helos allowed so close they could fire missiles and hit the ship, no damage or injuries/fatalities seen after. Travel to a remote location in the arctic, 4 months there, then to France w/o refueling in all that time. Ain't gonna happen! Those gas turbines suck up fuel! This show needs a lot of improvement.

Is terrible. No actual plot, no story, apparently russian commandos are trained to do absolutely nothing.. It's great that a person can apparently shove their bare hands into a cluster of fuses and wires, be electrocuted by all the power it takes to run a US warship, and shake it off in just a few seconds. Because logic. What's better is that, oh hey, there's a nuke being launched at France for no apparent reason, warn the captain about fallout and then stand around on the deck and watch a random cruise liner. Worst thing I've seen so far this year, and that's coming from a guy that watched Syfy's "Mega-Python vs Gatoroid"

The basic premise is interesting and the level of cooperation of the Navy is great. What I find objectionable is the same as every similar situation (Star Trek). The CO would NEVER lead any boarding or armed shore party. There are predetermined assignments to all such requirements. Used to be called the "Watch, Quarter and Station Bill." His/her duty is always to the ship and crew. And no I didn't learn in my parents basement, only 6-1/2 years DE/DD sea duty.
