Pilot episodes are usually the best because of the extra effort put into them. This one was fantastic so even if the quality suffers a little after this it will still be a good show. Reboot note: Disney struck a nearly perfect balance between refreshing the show with new subtle character dynamics and plot while keeping the core a spiritual successor to the original. As such, viewers of the original will find this show anywhere from good to great based on how much they let the large number of very minor character changes rankle them. Finally, the trend continues whereby old cartoon reboots get the plot upgrade of having story arc (think Scooby Doo reboot).

It's the first good reboot I've seen in a while. Ducktales was a huge part of my childhood, so I'm so glad I can experience it again. This pilot makes me so excited for what comes next. True, the voice actors for Huey, Duey, and Luey are grownups, but they fit their personalities so well. Oh yeah! The nephews have their own personalities! It's very refreshing and I love how they play off each other. All of the voice actors are amazing and really into their characters. David Tennant was amazing as Scrooge. He got that slightly grumpy feel just right. Beck Bennet was awesome as Launchpad. I could hardly tell the difference! The animation for this show is stellar as well. Even though it's not the same as the old show, it is very clean and fluid. I especially love the comic book style backgrounds. The story was everything you could want. It had great comedy and intrigue. Things that are centric to Ducktales. I also love how Donald plays a bigger part in the story. All in all, this is the reboot we wanted and we got it! Thanks so much, Disney! (And the new Webby is a vast improvement over the old)

I watched the original animated Ducktales in the 80s and 90s. I loved it so much and was cautious about the new entry into the series. All of those worries have been laid to rest. They pay homage to the original series, but also the source material that the original cartoon was based off of. It gives individual personalities for Huey, Dewey, and Louie... Webby is now a whiney little girl that drags the team down, Mrs. Beakly is amazing, and they include Donald in this one! Donald was always huge to the original comics. I enjoy the comic book inspired art style, and the voice actors are top notch. Biggest problem with the old series was the way Disney handled voice talent to save money. Everyone now has much more personality and it's awesome.
