About this show

From Damon Lindelof, co-creator of the hit series Lost, this one-hour drama focuses on a suburban town whose preconceptions are shattered in the wake of a global event dubbed “The Departure” (which may or may not have been the Biblical “rapture”), in which 2% of the world’s population were taken and others left behind.

I ended up binge watching the entire season and was ignorant of the book did not even know about it until I start watching the series. It definitely mesmerized me and I really enjoyed it. The original score is off the chain and it was finally released recently and I went & copped it immediately. And I've read they're doing the second season of this and I'm really looking forward to it. HBO definitely knows how to produce and put out solid material.

It is definitely a must see show. The first season is indulging and may seem a little slow at first but definitely gets interesting throughout the series. I never watch hbo, but this show is definitely an acception. Great storytelling, great acting and beautiful in its own way. If you are tired of watching boring old dramas on tv, go give this one a try, along with a dose of mtv's show : Finding carter.

Starts amazing....Ends with the most disappointing, awful shortcut of a conclusion you will ever see. The writers obviously gave up trying to explain what they created. It leaves you wondering if they simply ran out of funding or decided to pursue pure cowardice in writing by their own free will. The acting and score, however, are truly great.
