About this movie

The highly anticipated and critically acclaimed documentary GOING CLEAR: SCIENTOLOGY AND THE PRISON OF BELIEF is a look inside the controversial religion from Academy Award®-winner Alex Gibney. The film profiles eight former members of the Church of Scientology, exploring the psychological impact of blind faith, how the church attracts new followers and keeps hold on its A-list celebrity devotees. Following the 2013 Peabody Award-winning documentary ‘Mea Maxima Culpa’, his investigation into the Catholic Church, Gibney dives fully into one of the most controversial and secretive religions in the world in GOING CLEAR, exploring what members of Scientology are willing to do in the name of religion. The film touches on a wide range of aspects of the church from its origin, to an intimate portrait of the Church’s founder L. Ron Hubbard, to its recruiting practices, to present day practices by church officials.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING!!!! This is what happens when people don't want to become a born again Christian, some people get into this nightmare and some into others. And with that comes hell, the ultimate nightmare mentioned in The Bible. Unless there is a reptenance towards Jesus, an accepting of him, a surrender to him, then you will go down the wrong path. The right path, Jesus, leads to Heaven and The New Heaven and New Earth as described in The Revelation.

This movie will blow your mind. I use to think "hey scientology really isn't any crazier than these other religions", but it is! Scientology is f*ckin stupid, and a money making scheme created by a creepy scumbag weirdo science fiction writer who once punched his wife in here head while she slept. Tom cruise, Kirsty Ally, and John Travolta can eat a bowl of dix. This documentary takes you deep into the world of scientology that you would have to pay a lot of money to get to see.

Never was! They added CCHR for tax purposes. Hubbard was a really stupid fanatic. Because I'm an actress, I was invited to check it out. OMG! It's so stupid it's laughable. Big, successful scam for lonely, insecure people!
