Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life

What a slap in the face this final installment is to longtime viewers! I can't believe that the actors who carefully invested in their characters over the years actually agreed to participate in this lazy, thrown-together excuse for a plot. The story swings between moments of painful tedium and outright offensiveness, such as when it's revealed that Rory is happily helping cheat on Logan's fiance, and is treating Paul (her boyfriend) like an old pair of shoes. Rory seems to not only have lost direction in terms of her career, but also all the endearing qualities like integrity, generosity and compassion that we've come to expect of the heroine. Sadly, Lorelei looks on dotingly and oblivious - still under the illusion that her daughter is the next greatest thing since sliced bread. Poor Luke seems to have turned into a spineless Yes Man, and we feel immensely sorry for him. The only character that seems to have improved for the better is Emily, whose loneliness has liberated her from her need to always be right or control everything. If only the producers had the wisdom to know when to stop. This last revisiting of the Gilmore family has irreparably smeared all the sweet, funny, poignant memories in the series that preceded it, and left many of us wishing we'd never seen it.

Spoiler Alert*** *** I like the 4 episodes for 4 seasons. Good idea. I like how we were able to check in and see how our beloved Stars Hollow fam was doing. But, if there was no coming back from this, why show us thata "she" is pregnant. And where's Maury when u need him 'cause WHO'S THE DADDY!? The one night stand oe the ex? If we weren't going to answer that why even know ahe is pregnant. Did i miss something?
