Picking up moments after season one’s cliffhanger, Damien Delaine, Eric’s longtime adversary, has taken Eric and Nathalie’s daughter, Evie, hostage. Delaine appears at Cri/Res and demands that Eric fulfill his ‘3 wishes’ in order to release Evie, threatening to kill her within hours if he doesn’t comply. In a race against time, the team works to fulfill Delaine’s strange demands which include Eric answering a series of emotionally compromising questions and performing ethically questionable tasks. Tensions rise when Damien challenges Eric with a final wish that will force him into making an impossible decision.

Eric and Zara survey the offices on a security consult for a hedge-fund manager when a hitman storms in, bent on killing his target: Cri/Res’ client. Zara manages to pull the client into a panic room while Eric stays outside in the line of fire, so he can negotiate with the unstable mercenary. While Oliver and While Oliver and Maxine help remotely to profile the hitman, Eric works to uncover the secret beneath his assignment to kill. However, outside, forces in high places fight to ensure that the hitman doesn’t leave this crisis alive and are none too concerned if Eric should get caught in the crossfire.

An American diamond broker travelling with her family is kidnapped in Vienna and Eric and Oliver try to uncover the mystery behind this seemingly random hostage taking. When Eric negotiates with her captors, he discovers that the hostage is hiding her true identity - she’s a CIA spy who was caught poisoning an Austrian target, mid mission. Eric and Oliver plunge into a world of espionage, spies, and handlers, in order to save an innocent woman’s life. Meanwhile, Oliver gets an interesting job offer.

Eric and the team are called to Paris when MICHAEL, a former Guantanamo guard, is kidnapped while visiting a friend/ex-GTMO detainee, AHMED. After finding Ahmed in hiding, Eric and the team enlist his help to track down Michael’s captors. Tensions rise as Eric begins to question whether or not Ahmed is helping the team or helping the kidnappers. While Zara works remotely with Michael’s mother, the team looks into Michael’s and Ahmed’s pasts, learning that both men are not as innocent as they seem.

When an innocent teenager is kidnapped, Eric and the team discover that instead of a typical cash ransom, the kidnappers want something much more difficult to acquire: a high powered grenade launcher. We uncover that the teen’s father is an arms dealer and Eric negotiates to make the trade. Meanwhile, Zara is shocked to see that one of the captors is her former colleague and abuser at the NYPD. In a race against time, Eric and the team must save the hostage and prevent an imminent plot to destroy dozens of lives.

Eric fights to save his mother, a world famous surgeon, after she is kidnapped to perform a surgery on a dangerous crime boss. In order for Eric to uncover where she is being held, he must enlist the help of his estranged father. When negotiating with the crime family who holds his mother hostage, Eric and the team uncover that someone doesn’t want the crime boss, or Eric’s mother, to leave the surgery alive.

The unthinkable happens when a hostage is executed in the midst of a high stakes negotiation. Tensions rise when an FBI agent arrives, determined to arrest Eric and the team for criminal negligence. As the rest of the team begins to doubt whether they handled the negotiation correctly, Eric believes it may not be over. Faced with possible incarceration and professional suicide, Eric and the team must retrace their steps in order to prove their innocence and possibly prevent a murder.

When a teenager is taken hostage, Eric is forced to negotiate with a serial killer, VINCENT KEOUGH, facing a life sentence in order to catch the copycat. Things take a turn for the worse when Keough demands to be released from prison if they want him to help find the hostage. As the team searches for the copycat, they uncover that Keough may have, in fact, found a way to kill again. In the final showdown, Maxine is faced with an impossible choice.

Eric is given the impossible task of negotiating the release of the daughter of a prominent politician – a woman who has taken a public hardline on never paying kidnappers’ ransoms.

While on board a plane with his daughter, Eric must negotiate with a suicidal co-pilot who has locked the captain out of the cockpit. Oliver and Zara look into the co-pilot’s history and realize this was instigated by someone on board the plane.

When a mother and father are held hostage by a ruthless mob boss, Eric works with the hostages’ young children in order to save their parents’ lives. Things get complicated when Oliver, Cynthia, and the children are surprised to discover millions of dollars, stashed away by the parents. As the clock ticks down, Eric and the team fight to uncover where the money came from, and how can they use it to get the hostages back before it’s too late. As the team looks into the family’s history, they discover a mysterious past which complicates the negotiation and endangers all of their lives.

While Eric negotiates the release of a married couple held by illegal migrants, things take a turn for the worse when the Coyotes who were imprisoning the migrants appear, holding Eric, the couple, and the migrants hostage.

A longtime adversary threatens to make Eric’s daughter a murderer if he doesn’t succeed at negotiating a high-stakes business deal for a new cryptocurrency which could destabilize the world economy.
