This movie is hated by many. I find it hilarious. They could have at least added in Chevy Chase and someone random playing Russ like in all the other movies. But this still is kind of funny. This is the only movie where you can see a middle-aged man get bit on the ass by a monkey, throw someone off a cliff, and give an air- traffic-controller a panic attack with a seaplane.

This film is not a sequel. It's just a story that includes characters from the Vacation universe. There are even several deep jokes/references to the other Vacation movies that only hardcore fans will catch. All in all, it's a low budget, slapstick comedy. That being said, I actually laughed out loud a couple of times, which is more than I expected. It's worth the price of rental if you like the characters. And the original Audrey, Dana Baron, returns for a nice performance as well.

Wow. I loved the original Christmas Vacation but, this was not good. Very, very low budget. Don't waste your time. We tried to watch it but had to shut it off.
