Sigh... I really liked Taxi driver, and there were some correlations to it in this film (it has the same writer Paul Schrader), but this one just didn't do it for me, even though I followed it's complexities fairly well. I really liked the dialect, but that's about it. I was genuinely interested in the conversations throughout. But the whole global warming thing is becoming a cliche beaten thing now, and you'll figure out quickly where the opinion lies, which should really be no surprise in an industry that is left leaning. As a bonus, the viewer will get to see the stereotypical view of Christianity, which can be found in basically any comment section on the internet. There is nothing really groundbreaking here whatsoever. Many people on the internet are trying to overanalyze the film into something it's not. I'll admit that it may actually be somewhat complex, but it's really just a shallow idea and a shallow film altogether. Seriously Paul, you probably have all the time on your hands with a nice bank account to back it up. You need to either smoke more weed or less and get back to your roots. If you are a fan of A24 films then you should already know what you're getting into. My guess is you will love it or hate it. Good luck in your decision.

I've never bothered to write a review for a movie until now. We kept waiting for it to change gears but it never did... A complete waste of two hours... He should have drank the drain cleaner in the first 10 min of the movie

It's certainly more complicated than just bad, but I really don't want to waste my time debating anything after wasted almost two hours of my life on this. The only reason I'm writing this review is I feel obliged to warn everyone else about what they are potential getting themselves into. So here is my verdict: This may not be the worst movie ever, but just save it until you literally exhausted all the movies in this world, and by then, you might find it enjoyable to be the background music of your sleep.
