This is definitely a movie that you need to be in the right mood to watch, with many shots of time and scenery slowly slipping by. Also, some shots are so dark that you'll want to watch this at night. But if you're ready to take the movie at its own pace, those slow scenes carefully describe a sweet friendship between two men in a sea of grubby, muddy frontier individualism. Seriously, "rugged" is too romantic a word for how much mud is on most dudes in this movie. Also that cow is lovely.

Welp I waited too long and can't recoup my money but I can say save yours. As much as I appreciate acting and the recreation of the period this is horribly slow.....and I'm a movie lover and try to see the bright side but this is as bland as rock soup......yeah rock soup... Hot water with rocks...if it did have any flavor it may not be good. Good luck save your money this won't me on many platforms and for good reason

This movie was so slow and boring that I found it impossible to even finish it. At the halfway point, nothing had really happened, and we gave up and turned it off. I understand that it is an "art film," but it just wasn't interesting at all.
