Digimon Adventure tri: Reunion

Completely missed the mark. I loved season one and two of Digimon Adventure, but this movie is nothing like them. The old episodes were packed with fast-paced humor and this was just a sad excuse to showcase teen angst. I had to will myself to finish the movie (out of pure curiosity) because it felt like I was watching it in slow motion, especially since there was little valuable dialogue to begin with. Plus, there were only vague descriptions of what the characters were experiencing, so it became a little hard to truly understand what was going on with each person. I'm so bummed about how this movie turned out.

I saw this when it came out in theaters. Amazing, The original voice actors, and narrative consequences of actions but understanding what it means to be DigiDESTINED as a teenager. Only nitpick is they are super vauge on 02 characters (this only gets worse next movie). P.S. While the next movie isn't dubbed if you watch it but don't like it, worry not all the ones after it (As of the time of writing that's 3&4 are great) though personally I like this one the best.

Watching this brought so many good memories, having most of the original cast made it even better. Thought it would take a bit longer to get used to the themes from the Japanese version but they fit really well, cant wait for the next ones still want to find out what happened to some of the missing digidestined.
